A geophysical survey using a magnetometer was undertaken in Fisheries Field with the help of a number of volunteers in January 2017.

Magnetometry is a non-intrusive technique used to detect the presence or absence of buried archaeological features such as walls, ditches and pits. Unfortunately the survey did not reveal any definite evidence for significant buried archaeological remains.

The survey report from Archaeological Research Services is available on our Downloads page.
