Volunteering - Helping bring History to Life
Cresswell Pele Tower is run entirely by volunteers, and we’d love for you to join us. Whether you’re passionate about heritage, gardening, guiding, or just lending a helping hand, your time makes a real difference.
Full training in all aspects of volunteering will be given.

Welcome and Tour Guides
- Greet visitors to the Tower and Walled Gardens
- Share short stories of the Tower – We have a ghost!
- Answer questions
Garden Volunteers
- Help care for the walled garden — whether you’re green-fingered or a total beginner
Events and set-up helpers
- Support seasonal events, open days, and special tours
Behind the Scenes
- Support admin, social media, or maintenance, as little or as much as you like
Flexible Time Commitment
- Give a couple of hours a month or join us weekly, whatever works for you
